Before the Atlantic opened, Suriname's Guiana Shield and West Africa's Birimian belt were a single landmass — the same greenstone, the same gold. The West African side has given up 500+ million ounces; the Guiana Shield, a fraction of that, and far less drilled. Miata's ground sits on that under-explored twin, beside the mines already in production.
